I thought I'd make a minimum bid lower than the reserve to see what if any interest there was below the reserve. This could be useful if the reserve is not met as it would give me the opportunity to follow up with anyone who bid between the minimum and reserve should I decide to. I probably should have described what I was thinking better, such as if the reserve price is not met I have the option of accepting the highest bid or not.
