Since 1995, I have served as a software engineer within several different industry sectors: educational, financial, entertainment, and government. I am usually responsible for full life-cycle development of next-generation software, from initial requirement gathering to design, coding, testing, documentation, and deployment.
My technical expertise includes cross-platform proficiency (Mac OS X, UNIX, Linux, and Windows) fluency in several different scripting/programming languages (including Ruby, Smalltalk, Objective-C, Java, C++, C, JavaScript, and HTML) and knowledge of developer applications, tools, methodologies and best practices (including OOA/OOD, and client/server architecture).
Next, I continue to keep my skills current with the latest techniques and technologies of software development. For example, I attend software development conferences like railsconf.com and developer.apple.com/wwdc, taken online course offered by codeschool.com, taken onsite courses offered by pragmaticstudio.com, watched screencasts offered by peepcode.com, and purchase electronic books from popular online technical bookstores. Thus, these are just a few things that I do to keep my knowledge of the software development industry up to date.
In summary, if you're searching for a software engineer with an ability to deliver well designed and implemented applications, then consider my resume and I look forward to speaking with you about the positions at your company.
Thank you,
Conrad
