People need to understand that talking to the police is NEVER in their best interest. Police are looking for anything, any reason, any possible way they can cite you... or arrest you. All you are is a piece of meat to them, something that gets them kudos from their boss.

To them, you're a trophy. A drunk driver. A criminal. A drug abuser. A rapist. A burglary suspect. They look for ANYTHING that they can pin on you, accuse you of, and bring you in for. With the police, it's NOT a matter of "protecting and serving". All that falls under the category of "presumed guilty until proven innocent", NOT "innocent until proven guilty". They don't give a flying shit if you're not the guy they're looking for. All they have to do is think MAYBE this is the guy. They figure out the details later. They run it by the DA, and see if the DA wants to bring charges. Ever hear of the phrase "throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks"? That's the best summary of what the police are about.

These guys don't proactively fight crime, they passively fight crime.

People need to use their FUCKING brains and NOT talk to the police. People need to get it through their fucking heads that talking to the police for ANY reason will NOT help them. It only gets you closer to being locked up.
