I sold a domain name to a pretty well known web guy (well known not by name, but his sites are known by all) for $5k through Sedo. He never transferred funds and the deal fell through.
He put in another offer for $5k - 4 months later. I countered with $10k as more of a GFY than a serious counter-offer.
He accepted.
Never hurts to try I guess.
