Swiss man who fell in love with his dog and took it to bed for regular sex sessions has been spared jail by promising to undergo psychiatric counselling.
A court in Liestal, Switzerland, said the 25-year-old defendant broke Swiss laws by admitting having sex with his male Appenzeller dog called Blaessli since 2008.
He wore the dog's collar to court as a sign of his affection for him and called him 'my life partner'.
He would 'woo' the dog with chocolate drops before lighting candles to cuddle up with him beneath his duvet.
But the puppy lover was not faithful - he also admitted bedding two other dogs during his relationship with Blaessli.
Prosecutors demanded 20 months jail but he was sentenced to eight months that was suspended as long as he undergoes the psychiatric sessions.
