You could register domain for 9 years with a cheap registrar for 7.50$/year (total 67.5$) and then 3 months later simply transfer that domain to "big guys", for a price of 10$ or so. At the end, you have domain with standup company, registered for 10years for 77.5$ in total. If you have gone with registration at the big company from the beginning, you would have paid 100$ for the same length.. 22.5$ saved for beer or another domain
