I'll have to get back to you on the auction process and it's timeframe. I believe that all auctions should be complete by General Availability on December 6th, but it's entirely possibly that that's wishful thinking.

The Landrush fee is split into two elements: 1. a non-refundable element and 2. the registration fee which is refundable in all cases for those failing to acquire a name.

We are expecting only 10% or less of Landrush applications to go to auction if this Landrush follows that of other TLD's. Please check with your registrar regarding refunds, but note, that we don't charge the registrar the registration fee portion until the domain is actually awarded, so refunds should be rapid from the registrar.

As in all cases the registrant takes the risk against any infringing activity against trademark holders. You should seek advice on this point from your legal representative.
