If you haven't already contact the three credit reporting agencies and put fraud protection on your credit. They will ask you for phone number so you can give them a cell phone or whatever is the best phone to contact you on. This way if anyone tries to open an account with your SSN the credit agency tells the store/company that they must call you to get your approval.
