I was a door supervisor for a few of the Pubs & clubs around Bournemouth, Poole & Swanage.... also head doorman for the King Charles in Poole.
For door work these days, you go on security, first aid, social skills & other courses.... You need to know about the drugs that can be found around the area, you also get to know the police force very well. Always communicating with them, especially with the security of M&S... SabreWatch are very close net with the police, using the radio, we communicated all the time. This meant, we needed to know, drugs, pricing, where & who to watch out for.
Also had the chance to be door supe on Ministry of Sound in London, when I was living near Luton... but moved, so never took the opportunity
A shame, I heard that's excellent pay & great work
