As said in my first post, as the OP asked a drug that would knock a person unconscious, I would have thought straight forward sleeping tablets were used... Of course we could all be wrong & no drug was used, the reason for sleep may have been over working & the alcohol induced sleep

GHB doesn't usually cause paralysis. As usual you have no idea.
