It's still PHOTOSHOP or FIREWORKS. Just used PHOTOSHOP for it myself recently. You have to save for web and optimize content. FIREWORKS is more set up for it by default, but the steps are a little different. Can't understand what FIREWORKS is still doing around with PHOTOSHOP and in the same package. Keep hearing about the upcoming death of FLASH, but if you ask me it ought to be FIREWORKS, completely unneeded program
Oh hold it VIDEO TO GIF? - Sorry. Premiere will do it though if you have the CS5 (or any CS package/verison). Just export or save the vid as a gif within the frame range you want, or export single images in the clip and then make your gif inside photoshop or fireworks
