I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this. I don't have kids so I can't be in the parent shoe, but I have nieces who I care dearly about and would be pissed off if it happened to them.
Maybe the judge will change his mind and make this go away. That would be the best outcome of all.
If it were me and I was going to apply to Harvard. . . I might be crazy enough to put it on my application. Send along some press clippings and the TV video. Tell them my story right up front. The stories show her to be a kid in a very shitty situation trying her hardest to overcome it and make something good of her life. That is real adversity. That is the kind of person I would want attending my college.
