No its nothing new. But were you an Honors student? Were you on the " College Bound " track in high school? Were you working to take care of family members or just fucking off.
Dont get me wrong. What was done to you was not right either. There are far better ways to deal with situations like yours and hers.
And now days the arrest/jail record is more of a problem than it ever was.
I remember guys that got sent to Juvenile homes but it was different from being sent to Juvenile Hall which was the Jail. One was on your record and the other was not. ( Not sure in your case ) But I have seen lots of people grow up and NOT get great positions in companies because the company will not risk what that " Sealed " record is about.
