I live at lat 61. Its minus 20 celcius for 4 months. We saw minus 35 (-31f) for a few weeks this year. We dont realy have a spring as such. As soon as the snow melts the sun arrives...
If you like trees and lakes (we have about 144000 lakes/islands), then finland is for you.
We also have wolves,bears,moose,reindeer and if your REALLY lucky.. wolverene.
And of course the MOOMINS..
No poisonous spiders... the only snake is the adder. BUt mosquitos are a huge problem.
As are drunk finns......
And we have everymans right of access. Within reason i can enter any woodland/forest/lake/farmers feild...and itch my tent up for a few days.
And you might be suprised.. It is also possible to grow the plant that you need for the divinci... outdoors! Runderelis hybrids do very well in our midnight sun.
