I have been saying this from the start over and over again.

I wish it was them (tubes) first. Most people you talk to how enjoy their porn straight away list all the biggest porn tube sites. Yeah a few have heard of rapidshare and depositfiles, but a surprising low %. Most don't want to pay for it at all and can't be bothered to find the all links and wait for them to download for hours . Tubes are all they need.

Tubes don't just take away the need for porn achive memberships, they also suck up all the cams, dating and any other revenue streams.

Sure some have looked to go a little more legit of late, but still they have caused 100X more damage to the industry than any lockers or torrents, and continue to do so.

Some of the content producers hate lockers more, but that is simply because they believe seeing their content all over tubes in a lower resolution will perhaps persuade people to join via the watermark for full membership. That is a very small % and because they are so short sighted they don't realise that if there were none of the large illegal tubes a lot more people would be joining over all. They are willing to put up with some tiny scraps left over from the tubes and for some reason believe all their sales vanished into file lockers. This is simply not the case.

When xvideos was down just for a short period, just that 1 site, lots of people reported a significant rise in traffic and sales. The size of some of these tubes dwarfs filelockers, you will notice no rise in sales or very little increase even if all are gone. Take down the largest tubes and see what happens.

What is sickening to watch is people that have totally raped the porn industry with illegal tubes preaching about filelockers on some moral grounds.

Then enemy of my enemy is my friend is not true in this case. Both need to be gone, but only tubes will make a large difference to this industry.
