I have mates who use that slang fairly frequently, however it isn't mixed in with broken engrish.
Ever find that the younger generation say upto 20 / early 20's have no clue what you are talking about with basic Aussie slang?
Ie I said to a shop assistant the other day "what is old mate doing?" and pointed to another shop assistant and they looked at me like I was speaking Chinese. Kind of sad really.
