I think I probably gave up on D&D in 10th grade or so. I used to have so many games going on at once it was insane, and I can remember being a Dungeon Master at like 14 and having 40 year old men in my game. I couldn't imagine doing the live action thing though. Back then the farthest we went were those pewter D&D figurines, and even those were kind of a burden. We used to be secretive as hell about playing D&D because the last thing we wanted was to be labeled a nerd and never get laid. Nowadays it's almost cool to be a nerd and there is a whole subculture of nerd chicks that will fuck you...

We got screwed when it comes to what is cool and what isn't. When I was in high school kids that were into comic books and video games and D&D were nerds. They were outcast and shunned. Now they are the cool ones. Suddenly it is cool to be into that stuff and you can actually get girls who are also into that stuff. I was born a couple of generations too early. LOL
