Why do armed soldiers, your own county's armed soldiers, protecting a public place seem so sinister? Direct to the point; Guns in the hands of good samaritans or vigilantes guarding the public is a bad idea -- I would much rather see a trained soldier doing that job. In a perfect world that would not be necessary but this is not a perfect world and will never be -- history has proven that.
