Booking next trip to China today. Always so exciting.
I love going there, and booking the flights and hotels are always exciting.
Some highlights this time, will include me going a few hours away from where i normally stay. Where i am going there are very few foreigners. I'm going to a hot springs a couple hours outside of that city. I don't expect to see any foreigners around. I am hoping by the end of this trip i can easily ask for directions, navigate my way through a menu without pictures for basic items anyway.(Chicken, noodles, etc). Basic comments about items around me, that is nice...what is that called? Basic weather etc etc
I'm going to film a bunch of the city this time as they have so many awesome things as part of their architecture. A 200 metre skeleton of a Dragon beside a road and park is what i'm going to try and get a really good clip of. Groups of people training with nunchuks in the park, as well as 100 senior citizens doing Tai chi. There are a few places where you can catch parkour runners also, it is big there i guess. The lights in the city at night are amazing. I will get some nice video of that as well. LED lights are everywhere, and we don't have anything like it here.
Since i am jogging a bit these days i also want to film myself running in a few places. It is almost like running through with an invisible force field in front. People move out of the way like a truck was coming through. They stare like they saw a ghost.
Oh and hire another programmer full time, and have an assistant go from part time to full.
I cant get enough of China. Don't go there to do adult business. But if you have non adult business, it is clean, safe. The people are nice, to me at least. The work ethic is better then anywhere else i have seen. You still find bad apples, but overall way better then any other place i have tried.
Beer is cheap if you are outside of Shanghai. In Shanghai i have only found expensive bars, really nice but even more expensive then going out in Toronto all night. However if you go into mainland china prices drop way way down.
So who wants to go to china..haha
