I read on a Lambo forum that he inherited money from his parents (whom supposedly were both killed in a previous car accident)...

PINELLAS PARK, Florida - On crutches, Phat Phan moves slowly on Monday, but after surviving a horrific two-car crash near Lakeland, it's amazing the 22-year-old is moving at all.
"I see blood everywhere, everything's broken, glass broken," says Phan about the moment he regained consciousness inside the Nissan he was riding in.
Sunday was supposed to be a fun day for Phan. His friend, 43-year-old Mike Chan, had been invited to a Super Bowl party in Winter Haven. But mid-afternoon, some party guests with exotic cars and the party's host suggested going on a cruise.
Phan says five or six cars began cruising in the area. Phan was a passenger in Chan's Nissan, and party host Samuel Hampton was in his green 2008 Lamborghini Murcielago. A friend of Hampton's, Tiffany Beene, 24, was driving the Lamborghini.
Phan says along the way the cars started taking different routes, but when the Nissan was on University Boulevard, he suddenly saw a flash of green coming toward them. The Lamborghini crossed the median of the divided road and slammed into the Nissan.
"All of a sudden, I see this green Lamborghini on the opposite side lose control ... coming at us really fast, so fast you can't react to it," describes Phan.
A photograph of the Lamborghini shows it flattened by the impact. Police say debris from the crash stretched 1,000 feet along the roadway.
Beene was killed in the crash. Her family from Kissimmee does Christian missionary work in Guatemala. Hampton also died in the crash.
Chan was seriously injured and, on Monday, underwent surgery at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. The hospital is not releasing his condition at the request of his family. Chan manages the Hiro's Tokyo restaurant in St. Petersburg.
As for Phan, he's nursing bumps, bruises, and a broken foot. But he knows he's the lucky one. "It makes you think," he says. "Your life is like a candle; it can go out in a blow."
