It goes on all the time.
Thing is, these groups which are set up to help genuine rape victims, they never speak out about all the false rape claims and the harm it does to other women who want people to listen. I remember seeing someone on the news and that very question was given to them, and the reply was "but if we do that then it could put other people coming forward and reporting the crime".
So basically, they think it's ok for people to make false claims in the event that it could damage genuine claims if they were punished. With no care at all for the guys lives they ruin in the process...
