correct me if i am wrong but i believe we were facing the fiscal cliff sometime back in 2011, shit about to hit the fan, credit rating downgraded.
no agreements in sight, Obama wrote this bill and made it purposely very very grave with the thought that surely congress would find a solution before it would come to this.
congress passed the bill and obama signed it, no?

All voters should unanimously agree NOT to re elect any of those knuckle heads in Congress, ever ever again.. No matter what they individually promise.
