Unfortunately they specifically state that they do not allow tripods on their tours. We didn't have a lot of time up there either. Just basically went to check it out to see if we want to go back (To Philadelphia). It's only about 2.5 hours from us and we're becoming bored of Gettysburg. The Eastern State tour was the biggest waste of money ever. Our "tour guide" spent more 55 minutes talking, and all of 5 minutes letting us look around or take photos. My wife and I kind of lagged behind to grab a few photos before being rushed by the guide. I did not know until yesterday that they were open with free admission today allowing you to browse around by yourself. Wish I would have known before hand! Or at least known there were other options then a guided tour. Next time we'll skip the guided tour.
The hotel we stayed at in King of Prussia was great. Right behind the mall, full gym and pool access, room service breakfast, ample parking, away from the crowds/city life, etc.
Spent most of the day today at the Please Touch Museum. Expensive but our daughter absolutely loved it. We finally left there and hit South Street. Jim's was almost empty and one look at their subs and we walked right out. I haven't been there in probably 7 years but their subs looked like they wouldn't please the belly of a 5 year old. We picked some random place down the street called Steaks on South. Not bad. Not incredible though.
All in all, I think the wife and I will take another trip back up once it gets a bit warmer out and we have some more time to spend up there.
....annnnddd one photo from ESP that I grabbed off the camera last night
