They know that they're getting near to the top of the hit-list, at some point within 10 years they would have been attacked one way or the other, probably better to start the war when USA isn't ready for it. Maybe Syria/Iran will go on the back-burner for a while now.
Big question is if China will keep their promise with NK and protect them.
