 Do yourself some favours man.. 
1. Better speakers. You spend all day in front of your PC. Treat your ears. I have a pair of Mackie HR624's and a pair of KRK Rokit 8 (both powered studio monitors) that I use as PC speakers. 
2. Put your LCD panels together so there's no gap and the speakers on the outside. 
Here's a pair of mackie's in a PC setup, single monitor though. I have mine on foam pads that slightly angle them upwards at me, sound much better this way, as they're very directional.
