We are a cam site not based in the US, and chargebacks are less than 1%, we have a merchant account and most is visa/mc simply. But 1) most of the sales volume are from regular customers we got since years so not chargebacking ans 2) it requires to check several times a day (if not realtime) all the sales from new users, especially at times a big idiot starts to do a serie of new accounts with new ip's and cards every 5 minutes for hours, and you have to forget lunch, dinner or sleep... to void realtime all what he does until he's bored to retry again... some of those kids have lots of free time.
Chargebacks from legitimate users who "change idea" are not that many... most it is simply carders really (and affiliate carders too - an amazing 50% of new affiliates we get signing up are fraudsters...).
