i think its a media problem nowadays - if you don't release an official statement immediately the media goes wild speculating and making up stories on their own.
which then are put into overdrive by all those self acclaimed "news outlets" that are mostly weird guys in their underwear in their mommys basements.
there's no one left who says "step back, take a breath, let's a have a look first"
