crypto currency is electronic money that acts as alternative currency not produced by government-endorsed central banks nor necessarily backed by national currency.

but you too missed my point in including that, which was that while the dhs hit dwolla over virtual currencies, there is an increasing prevalance and a greater acceptance of virtual/digital currencies and amazon coins being launched at the same time proves that.
