Obscenity is illegal everywhere in the US. As a couple of posts above mention, it is ?community standards? that determine what is obscene, but, as a practical matter, prosecutions for obscenity are unusual in all but the most extreme cases. Getting a conviction for distribution of routine porn is hard work for a prosecutor, even in a place as conservative as Oklahoma, and prosecutors in general shy away from anything that isn?t easy. The arrival of the internet has of course muddied the waters in saying just what is and is not a ?community.?
