nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, chills, a runny nose, goosebumps, sweating, tears, insomnia, aches and pains in the muscles and joints, extreme restlessness, yawning, abdominal cramps, and dilated pupils, anxiety and depression, with severe cravings for more Worlsd of Warcraft. Muscle spasms in the legs which cause them to kick.

I don't define addiction solely as needing to have physical reactions when quitting.
I like this definition: persistent compulsive use of a substance known by the user to be harmful.
I think some people have an addictive personality. This woman has one. Before playing WOW she was into scrap booking. She couldn't just do it casually. She ended up with an entire room in their house dedicated to it. She spent thousands of dollars on ebay buying scrap booking and it caused problems with her family. She also does it with food. She is overweight and eats a lot of junk food even though she knows it is not good for her. Recently she had a mild heart attack, had to have a stent put in the vein and told she needed to eat better and lose weight. She isn't she is doing just as she did before.
For some people I think there is a deeper psychological reason for these things. It isn't a physical need so much as it is then doing these things to fill some kind of void or need in their life that for some reason they can't seem to fill elsewhere.
