Do you think NSA is tapping into biometric databases?
I was just reading a white paper on biometrics for authentication and it got me to wondering about all of the NSA revelations.
Right now, unless your fingerprints are already in the system, they cannot tell if a print they lift belongs to you.
That is, of course, unless they have access to fingerprint biometric databases.
Do you think they ever resort to that for identifying potential suspects when they've exhausted all other options?
I used to think something like that would be preposterous because it is a matter of national security. With all of these fusion centers around the country now it would be very easy to discretely run something like that up the chain without the detective ever been the wiser.
