If you want to make money, however, invest a few bucks beforehand in testing each site from the user's (paying customers) POV.
Which site would YOU pay to join? Which site would YOU buy more credits from?
Some companies are much better than others at sending follow up offers encouraging repeat visits, etc. so watch your mailbox.

Agreed 100%. I know for myself, when I see a "recommendation" with an affiliate referral attached, I take it with a grain of salt. I'm more apt to give a higher weight to a recommendation that does not include the recommendation. Often times if I find a site based on a recommendation that works for me, then I will PM the person and ask for their referral link.
