Affiliates want the big pay outs on a sign up, but seem to want to bitch about the how's and where that money comes from, much like pre-checked cross sales. It's obvious to anyone with a brain that a single $29.95 minus processing and other costs do not equate to $40.00 PPS. Especially when most of these pay sites can't retain a member more than a couple of months.
I have always found this entertaining or amusing when people act amazed there is some shady bullshit, upsells, cross sales, or alike going on behind the curtain. At no point did they break out a calculator or some fingers and toes.

You don't have to do anything really shady imo. A "normal" cross sale is not shady, upselling is not shady. You can do it in many shady ways but if you agree on a lower income per member it's really possible to do so without going into the dark and raping your customers.
