SOT, Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Minister of Russia (in Russian): "Once again the US is exhibiting its ability to attribute all the blame to someone else while deploying all their might to pervert everything that's going on in Ukraine. They accuse us of turning on what John Kerry called in his prosecutor's voice, 'Putin's propaganda machine called Russia Today' - and that is totally unacceptable. Such remarks about the media are uncivilized. But I can understand why he said it now that CNN and the BBC and other Western media outlets now have a serious competitor in Russia Today something they did not think would ever emerge. Russia Today has won a vast audience in the United States, the UK, and in Western Europe, and that's without mentioning Latin America, the Arab world and other regions. We will be actively supporting this alternative point of view to western propaganda as the demand becomes greater in the rest of the world, including in western society."
