This reminds me of a story Robin Quivers once told on Howard Stern. Her friends had all been telling her how amazing India was and how she needed to go there. She finally gave in and went. She got off the plain, got a cab and during the drive to the hotel realized what a hellish shithole it was that she went right back to the airport and left.
