Why would Ukrainians shoot at a passenger plane? Especially when they've never used AA weapons before. They didn't even shoot back at Russians in Krimea.

Drunk russian terrorists who mistook it for a Ukrainian cargo plane and shot it down sounds more plausible. Just hours before this happened they had been bragging that they shot down an Ukrainian AF plane with a BUK AA missile.
