I tip 20% all of the time when I go out to eat at a restaurant, but to tip that amount or anything for someone who is already being paid to makes my sandwich, or someone who makes my high priced coffee is lame.
People at Starbucks make more money plus benefits, than waiters that work at a restaurant do and do way less work in way less time. Charge me less for a Coffee, I wouldn't mind tipping.
If my custom coffee was $2 and not $7, I wouldn't mind tipping. But Starbucks seem to make enough off my $7 coffee to pay for their employees college expenses and pay them a pretty good wage.
By all means I'm not cheap, but fuck, if I'm gonna get taxed more than I am for something that is already suppose to be getting done with the high price that I'm paying.
