I know a lot of cops. I have a big portion of my family who are cops (including my Mom who was one of the first female deputy sheriff's in Polk County Fla)

I'd say they are just like any other people on their job.
About 5% really care. 95% are just trying to get through the week so they can party.

And of that 95% working for that paycheck...there's probably 25% of those who are just pure straight up assholes and bullies and sometimes psychopaths.

Those percentages are probably the same in any line of work.
But with cops having almost unlimited power over citizens out in the field....it's fucking dangerous.

And the majority of the 95% who are just working for a paycheck but aren't crazy...they are mostly going to stand by and NOT stop the crazy ones (and sometimes even join in when a "group think" mentality hits in the middle of a situation).
