There are no rock stars anymore, Rock is Dead, didn't you get the memo?
All we have left now is a bunch of self absorbed no talented assholes that "talk" into microphones over music that was previously recorded by artists from an era that is now extinct.
You might call that rap music.
"Oh, I'm so talented and so powerful, I know how to talk and rhyme at the same time! Just like my preschool teacher taught me... listen... Yo, Bitch, I'm gonna toss you in a ditch. OMG!!! See how I made that rhyme? and I know how to say that line into a microphone to music!!! I'm so fucking talented!!!! Get me into the studio, I'm gonna be a rock star!!!"
