Yeah if you get all the money, I would take the dog to another vet.This one seems pretty incompetent. This is the hard thing to think about but are you keeping the dog alive and going thru all this pain for the dog or for yourself? I remember a vet telling me alot people kept an animal alive not for the animals sake but for their own and they went thru alot of unneeded pain. I lost my big lovable mutt two weeks ago to cancer and it stills hurts alot I hope for the best for you and your dog.
