The reason you pirates are not making any headway is that most folks are much more interested in what Adult King is doing in the present to combat people like you, rather than worrying about what he may have done in the past.
It just is not relevant. It is cute to see pirates out themselves in mindless rage because he is threatening your illegal activities.
Whenever one of these circuses starts up, it is a signal that another breakthrough is about to happen and the criminals are spitting mad about it.
