The is little security in using public IM/SIP applications like Skype, Yahoo! Messenger or the like for private shows. Dealing with the stalkers and hackers is always a problem.
Using social media like Facebook has serious risks -- any social media can terminate your account at will pretty much. Building a business on the back of someone else?s free service has a lot of risks.
Working for yourself, and by yourself, can be very stressful too.
