To start, that has nothing to do with what google,amazon,ebay,etc does. Personally I don't care about it to be honest, google ,etc for examples loves to index millions of pages for fun and people love to see their pages indexed without knowing what's the best way to do it, etc.

We are not in the same technical 'reality', therefore it's not easy for you to understand, The realities of the examples you provided are different.
Don't think with the example of something that exists already otherwise your brain is limited to that(...) and starts with the technical gap(...)
