If you can produce your own electric, why should you be forced to pay for electric from a utility company? also Duke energy are fucking cocksuckers since they took over here an average electric bill went from $80 to $150 in the summer to being over $200.
Also one of the things they are trying to pull is limit permits for adding new solar. They make you tie it to the grid, then turn around and claim its a hazard having the house return electric to the grid.
Obviously total bullshit, but that's so called "freedom" in a Republican run state.
