we have used winnov products since 1997 for doing live video and encoding video from cameras
Seems excellent, but I only have a laptop at the moment.

Maybe the easiest option
I ordered two. Thanks for the suggestion, I didn't know these existed. I don't have high hopes in these, so I'll probably order something else, but who knows. I've had good success with similar convertors before.
