About Russian mentality (real or not); my dad used to say that Russians are hard opponents because they can dig a hole and live just happily in it. You know, don't require much to be somewhat content.
Mericans on the other hand are not as hardy looking folks, if making comparison. It is more like "My Big Mac is stale. Retreat!"
