Самогон (home-made vodka) was popular in 80's as a result of Gorbachev's anti-alcohol campaign. Now most consumed alcohol here is
beer. Vodka is not much popular nowadays. As the
news say, production of vodka in Russia has dropped by 22.3% during last year only.
