He said he never ever heard of or used or owned a domain I asked about. How I found about this domain is because analytics shows all the traffic pointing to amateurpornempire.com (which is a deleted domain) and not amateurxxxempire.com (which he's selling) as it should. This is very strange since the domain was deleted, yet for amateurxxxempire the analytics shows all traffic pointing to amateurpornempire (which he's not selling). We agreed that that this is probably some strange glitch on analytics part, however I looked into amateurpornempire.com further.
I asked him if he ever heard or owned this amateurpornempire.com before? He said he never ever heard of or used or owned that domain several times. Immediately I thought bullshit, because it even sounds similar to the one he's selling right now, so I looked into it further. How can you forget a domain you owned that is so similar to the one you have right now and one that you held a freelancer contest for to get it's logo created? If you look at this page you'll even see probably 20-30 entries he rejected to get to the winning logo for amateurpornempire. So to say he never heard about it, never used it or owned it. Is indeed a lie.
I have proof he even owned the domain, and showed him this, it's easy google amateurpornempire.com and there will be a whoisology link.

So why he lied about this is beyond me and it's a red flag, because if he can lie about one thing he can lie about anything else. Hence be careful doing business with him was suggested here. If you don't think this is a legit redflag then that's your choice. |
Again, First thing I have to chime in because I know this owner very well and I didn't want any noob person who didn't have any idea about dealing with a website to write wrong and misleading post regarding this.
My question is still same why you should enquire about the domain you didn't concern about to buy? While for the website that you are interested in buying you have got almost every proof that I can sure as before provide it to you the owner has send me all traffic details and payment details just to review is all is correct or not.
If you are interested in buying amateurxxxempire.com then you should enquire about the same domain not about the others which has been used by the owner before as this is normal to forget those things as per your stupid query of logo freelancer contest this is normal which is not considerable as a memory 1000's of webmaster do this several times to get the best logo created and forgot when it was not used after some months or year.
So, I suggest you stick with what you are going to deal with not with other things as this doesn't sounds anything but just show that you are just come here for fun and you are not an interested buyer because an interested buyer will stick into the deal he was supposed to interest in.
Again, When you have asked the owner for Escrow payment he agreed to it that's the proof of his legitness.
And lastly, I am not writing this because my client has ask me to do I am writing this because I know the owner I didn't like anyone just say B.S. about him for a B.S. reason.
