Same, same.
Each time I got the shot - I came down with the flu. Yeah, perhaps a milder version than if I hadn't been vaccinated. But like you, when I skipped a few years and went without, I got no flu.
I have nothing against the flu shot - I just got pre-occupied and didn't get around to getting it. And never regretted it. Tons of people I know
did get the shot...with no real detrimental side effects.
