Carson is a fool for thinking the bible is more than a lot of mythical stories and what people of the time thought would bring them power or influence. Carson has been exposed as a liar, so obviously not a person who really believes in the bible. He's trying to appeal to a section of the US electorate who are badly educated and worse still determined to stay that way.
Does this belief about the pyramids point to a lack of knowledge, willful neglect to educate himself, a lie, or all three?
People replying here that it's not known or open for debate, also have to be questioned on why they think it's not 100% proven what the pyramids were built for?

I know it's funny. The pharaohs actually existed.
...vs characters from a fairy tale book. I can't believe there's even a semi-debate over who built the pyramids and what they were used for. Massive facepalm.
